Refined desk or work table, a remarkable example of functional cabinet making dating back to the second half of the 20th century. The furniture is distinguished by a rigorous architectural structure, characterized by a rectangular top of impeccable proportion, covered in fine veneer that enhances the natural play of the grain and the chromatic depth of the wood essence. The base consists of a sophisticated trestle system with inverted "T" uprights, joined by a longitudinal connecting crosspiece that acts as a structural and decorative element, guaranteeing perfect formal stability combined with surprising visual lightness.
Underneath the worktop, the band houses two side-by-side partially concealed drawers, finished with circular turned wooden knobs, which recall the geometric purity of the entire artifact. The design fits fully into the furrow of rationalist Modernism, with echoes of the Nordic lesson and the best Italian craft tradition of the post-war period. Every detail, from the choice of materials to the cleanliness of the lines, reflects an aesthetic research aimed at combining practical utility with a sober and timeless elegance. The state of conservation is to be considered good; the surface patina and slight signs of wear on the top attest to the authenticity of the piece and its historical experience, without altering its structural integrity or material charm.
