Two oval silver reliquaries, dating back to the 19th century, made for private devotion and today proposed as objects of historical, artistic and collectible interest.
The frames have a refined pierced and chased workmanship, with ornamental motifs in late baroque style, and are both equipped with the original upper ring for suspension.
Inside there are relics mounted according to traditional use, with textile supports and decorations in gilded metal thread. The handwritten labels are not fully legible, making the reference saint not identifiable with certainty, a frequent circumstance in artifacts of this type.
Larger reliquary: height 7 cm, width 3.8 cm
Smaller reliquary: height 6 cm, width 3.5 cm
Good overall state of conservation, with normal signs of aging and use, consistent with the era; intact frames.
Note: the objects are offered exclusively as artifacts of historical, artistic and collectible interest. The sale is not intended as an act of worship or religious devotion.
