George IV sterling silver coffee pot, Paul Storr, London, 1823
A rare coffee pot in sterling silver by the silversmith Paul Storr. The shape of the body follows a neoclassical style, with a bulbous profile that narrows at the base. Circular pedestal base, decorated with a band of vertical flutes. Hinged lid with shell decorations and a small ornamental element as an acorn-shaped grip. Engraved bands along the upper edges with floral and geometric motifs. The spout features an elegant curvature, decorated at the top. Wooden handle, attached to the main body with a highly detailed upper and lower section, modeled in the shape of figures.
