Small carved and gilded Baroque frame, made in the early decades of the 18th century. The frame is carved from linden wood without applied parts; it is decorated with symmetrical foliate scrolls that end in the lower part in a coat of arms and on the cymatium in a shell on which a winged cupid descends in flight carrying a crown to the effigy in the portrait, probably a bride metaphorically represented as Venus, according to the typical attributes, shell and Cupid. The similarity is evident to the more famous frame attributed to Parodi, in which the narration of the judgment of Paris is depicted: the molding of the frame is the same, as the two putti placed in the shell seem very close, in that case placed at the base of the frame, a detail that makes us think of a production of a pupil of the same workshop.
