Description William IV sterling silver kettle on stand, Paul Storr for Storr & Mortimer, London, 1837, Circular-shaped fluted body with rich decorations and finely engraved with floral motifs, resting on a stand adorned with acanthus leaf motifs on four feet. Complete with hallmarks, clear and legible impressed on the base, stand, burner, lid and handle. Sterling silver marked with 5 hallmarks: Manufacturer's logo: Paul Storr for Storr & Mortimer Lion passant: alloy mark. Sterling title guarantee 925­/1000 Leopard's head with crown: city of London Date letter year: 1837 Duty mark: King William IV head Dimensions HxWxD 37cm x 31.5cm x 26cm Weight 2,788gr Provenance Private collection Conditions Slight signs of wear and superficial scratches.
