Refined architectural mantel clock, supported by a white marble base on four feet richly adorned with gilt bronze applications. Below the movement, there is a fine composition in burnished and gilt bronze depicting marsh reeds. The movement is supported by two elegant black marble plinth columns, standing on gilt bronze acanthus leaf feet and decorated with cords and tassels. The capitals of the columns are also in gilt bronze and topped with gilt bronzes in the shape of lyres. The movement, in turn, supports a small black marble base from which floral and vegetal decorations emanate, terminating in a pinecone, while at the bottom it is surrounded by a garland; the pendulum is depicted as a radiant sun. The white enamel dial with Roman numerals is signed "A. Meyers Paris". The pendulum movement with silk suspension, strikes hours and half-hours, the clock is fully functional. This clock is a unique example of elegance and richness, a piece of furniture capable of decorating with refinement. French manufacture, Louis XVI period, second half of the 18th century.
