Elegant bronze sculpture cast using the lost wax method. The sculpture depicts a young, nude fisherman, with only a small strip of fabric covering his groin. The boy wears a fisherman's hat and holds a freshly caught fish in his hand. Notably, the statue is placed on a rock, on which a crab and a fishing basket can be seen. One can appreciate the stylistic and physiognomic rendering of the body and facial features, the latter smiling and happy about the successful catch. It is a sculpture of great taste and refinement, capable of adding a touch of class to any environment. Neapolitan (Southern Italy) manufacture attributable to the school of Gemito, around the end of the 19th century.
