Elegant and antique wax portrait, in a carved walnut wood frame, with a red fabric mat and convex glass decorated with a gilded bronze band. The portrait depicts a male figure, seen in profile, whose realistic rendering of the physiognomic details of the face and hair is appreciated, and the bust is partially characterized by clothing typical of the era. It is an object of great taste and refinement, capable of giving a touch of class and antiquity to any environment. On the bottom left of the portrait is the signature of the artist, which reads "G. Gritti", attributable to the Lombard artist Giacomo Gritti (1819-1891), active and well known in Italy. Lombard manufacture (northern Italy), from the mid-19th century.
