Empty Pocket – Royal Copenhagen
Oval porcelain bowl, with the internal part shaped like a fluted shell, shaded in pearly tones of light blue-gray. A three-dimensional naturalistic crab is applied to the upper edge, finely modeled in the claws and carapace. The interior is decorated with underglaze painting with a wriggling fish and thin tufts of undulating seaweed, made in gray-brown glazes that evoke an underwater vision, while the external surface has a modeling that recalls the intertwined texture of a basket.
