Elegant pair of Meissen porcelain perfume burners, marked on the bottom with the AR "August Rex" HELENA WOLFSOHN hallmark from the second half of the 19th century, mounted on gilded bronze frames. Cylindrical in shape, the lid handle is a rosebud decorated with lively Saxon landscape scenes. The central body features all-around polychrome decoration depicting Saxon riverbank landscapes with figures on one side and animated Saxon harbor landscapes on the other. The two perfume burners are mounted on a rich and elegant gilded bronze frame with handles ending in lion heads and feet decorated with vegetal motifs, with sphinx figures at the four small feet.
