Splendid oil painting on canvas, in a coeval carved and gilded wooden frame. The painting depicts a rural scene, showing a rooster, hens and chicks in a farmyard. It is a painting of great pictorial and stylistic quality, capable of furnishing any environment with class. The painting bears the signature in the lower right corner "S. Orlaioni", datable to Italian manufacture of the mid-19th century, freely taken from a painting of the mid-17th century by Melchior d'Hondecoeter.
