Splendid Sorrento table of Italian manufacture, made of fine walnut wood and embellished with a rich inlaid work, executed with extraordinary skill. The rectangular top, decorated with a refined floral motif and a central scene depicting a knight on horseback, represents an excellent example of 19th-century Sorrento-Neapolitan cabinet-making art. The base, turned and sculpted, develops into an elegant central stem that branches out into four shaped feet, also finely inlaid.
