Giosetta Fioroni was born in Rome in 1932 into a family of artists.
She is the only female figure to be part of a movement later defined as the Piazza del Popolo School, along with Franco Angeli, Mario Schifano, Tano Festa, Francesco Lo Savio, Fabio Mauri, Giuseppe Uncini. With some of them, she participated in the Venice Biennale in 1964. These artists often exhibited at the Tartaruga gallery of Plinio De Martiis in Rome, a reference point for many Italian and international artists, including Cy Twombly.
She lives and works in Rome.
