Valuable piece of furniture of exquisite workmanship, serpentine on the front and sides, with refined rosewood (bois de rose) inlays. The front features a drop-front and two drawers adorned with chased bronzes. Its narrow format (also called "ladies'" or "des dames" secretaries) allows it to be placed anywhere. Once the thick drop-front, decorated and protected with its original leather, is opened, it develops a large work surface like a desk. Inside the cabinet there are two shelves and two small elegantly veneered drawers. Raised Louis XV style foot.
