Hand-knotted Persian tribal rug, likely of Baluchi origin (Iranian Balochistan), datable to the 20th century. The field is decorated with a repeated geometric pattern, consisting of octagons with star elements, on a red and black background, enclosed within a multi-border frame. The color range is narrow but intense, dominated by red and black tones with small beige inserts that create a refined contrast. Knotted entirely in wool on a wool warp and weft, it presents irregularities typical of nomadic production. The conditions are good, with slight signs of use consistent with age. Original label present on the back ("Made in Iran").
