Elegant Persian rug from a tribal area, hand-knotted in wool on a cotton warp and weft, likely from the western Iranian region, attributable to Bakhtiari manufacture or neighboring tribal contexts, such as some Luri or Qashqai groups. The design is developed in a dense and orderly repetition of octagonal medallions (known as guls), on a carmine red background, with blue, ivory, and rusty orange details. The border is framed by three bands with stylized floral motifs, typical of the traditional decorative repertoire. The overall effect is balanced and lively, with great decorative strength. The back of the rug shows a symmetrical knot (Ghiordes knot), compact and regular, executed with craftsmanship. Measurements 122 × 205 cm Materials Pile: wool Warp and weft: cotton Hand-knotted Condition Good. The rug shows slight wear from walking compatible with age and worn fringes. No invasive restoration. Authentic rug, ideal for both classic environments and modern interiors with an ethnic flavor. --- Worldwide shipping available.
