Description:
Sumptuous silver-plated coffee pot made by the prestigious Barbour Silver Company of Hartford (United States), active between 1892 and 1931 and known for its very high quality craftsmanship.
The body has an elongated octagonal shape with mirrored surfaces. The domed lid culminates with an octagonal Bakelite knob.
The item, dating back to the 1930s, reflects the late Victorian style with Art Deco influences in the geometric and decisive lines.
The surfaces show slight abrasions consistent with the age of the object, without compromising the structural integrity.
The Barbour Silver Co., founded by Samuel L. Barbour and partners in 1892, was one of the leading companies in the American silverware scene thanks to the adoption of innovative techniques and refined design.
With the exception of some silver losses on the profiles due to frequent cleaning, the item is in good condition.
