Important tapestry from the Brussels manufactory depicting a hunting scene, 17th century.  Translated
Description:
This impressive 17th-century tapestry, originating from the Castle of Pollenzo (Bra, CN), depicts a lively hunting scene in a wooded landscape, a typical aristocratic iconography of the time. The work features rich colors, compositional complexity, and a figurative border with seated figures, putti, musical instruments, and floral motifs; elements that link it to the prestigious Brussels manufactory, at the time one of the major European centers for tapestry production. Mythological, allegorical, and naturalistic themes are intertwined in a refined visual language, intended to decorate noble residences. The executive quality and monumentality make it an excellent example of Flemish Baroque taste applied to tapestry art. Width cm. 450 height cm. 350  Translated
