Description:
Rare antique nomadic carpet from the Ersari tribes, in excellent condition and with a rare warm natural orange-red color. Central Asia, years around the mid-1800s or the third quarter of the century. Cm. 390 x 250. The center of the Gol is decorated with cloverleaf motifs like those found in Salor carpets. The border features a compositional structure with rhomboid motifs arranged in a chain. The flat ornamentation at the ends, similar to Sumak carpets, is typical of the region extending from Mazar-i-Sharif and Kunduz in northwestern Afghanistan. In excellent condition, including the pile. Patina and signs of use consistent with its age. Natural colors preserved.
