Important and rare pharmacy cabinet from the neo-Gothic period, originating from central Italy, entirely made of poplar wood and decorated with cream-white lacquer and faux marble, featuring a central passage.
The construction of the cabinet can be dated to the second half of the 19th century, the period of the advent (late compared to other nations) of neo-Gothic stylistic influences in Italy.
The bookcase features 4 large compartments, each with two glass doors shaped like pointed arches with a polylobate frame, which intertwine with other upper decorative arches; at the center of the interweavings, a scan of quatrefoils in black lacquer is repeated.
Further compartment is the central one, also equipped with two smaller glass doors. In addition, the bookcase has 8 doors in the lower part, decorated to look like wood.
The total dimensions of the bookcase are 428 cm x 283 cm in height.
The dimensions of the central passage are 187 cm x 70 cm in width (to which a door can be applied, given the presence of hinges).
The depth is 38 for the lower part and 28 for the upper part.
