"Our Lady of Sorrows" oil on canvas applied to a copper plate. The painting is clearly derived from the work of Guido Reni located in the "National Gallery of Ancient Art in Palazzo Corsini" in Rome, and is most likely the work of a Bolognese painter, his student. Datable between 1620-40, it is set in a splendid coeval Roman frame (reduced), the passe-partout is gilded in pure gold in leaf, but of recent manufacture. The painting, with some old restorations, is in excellent condition. Painting measures 56.5x45.5 with frame 87x67
