Fidelis of Sigmaringen, originally Mark Roy or Reyd (Sigmaringen, 1 October 1577 – Seewis im Prättigau, 24 April 1622), was a German Capuchin missionary active in the Protestant areas of Central Europe. He was attacked and killed during an anti-Austrian revolt in Switzerland. Beatified as a martyr in 1729, he was proclaimed a saint by Pope Benedict XIV in 1746.
