A splendid nocturnal view of the Venice Lagoon illuminated by moonlight, in an atmosphere with tones charged with the most evocative nineteenth-century romanticism.
The painting is signed and dated by the French artist Baron Deslanders E.A. (1832 - 1917), a painter about whom little is known except for some passages of his works in auctions, often with Venetian views.
