In 1922 Silvio Canevari created twelve bronze bas-reliefs for the interiors of the "Conte Verde" steamship of the Lloyd Sabauda company, launched in 1923 and intended for the route to the United States and Latin America. The general furnishing of the steamship was curated by Studio Coppedè.
In 1932 the structure of the cabins and lounges was completely renovated, the furnishings were modified and the "Conte Verde" was destined for the fight for the Far East.
The plaster is the original model of one of the bas-reliefs and was exhibited in the retrospective exhibition dedicated to Silvio Canevari as part of the Third Exhibition of the Fascist Syndicate of Fine Arts of Lazio, held in Rome in the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in 1932.
