The "Haystack Woman" was presented by Thayaht at the Venice Biennale in 1930 in a terracotta version. Thayaht arrives at an elegant synthesis of the volumes of the robes and the hay carried by the figure, merging everything into harmonious veils that seem drawn by compass to intuit physicality and gestures
