The subject portrayed is perhaps Franz Joseph, Emperor of Austria, imagined or portrayed in civilian clothes, or at least someone very similar to him. Painter of the Austrian school from the second half of the 19th century. Not signed. In excellent condition with slight and limited pictorial - conservative restorations from previous eras, masterfully carried out. Refined original gold leaf frame with original gilding.
