Splendid sculpture depicting a dancer.
Signed on the base "G. Passaglia".
GIULIO PASSAGLIA (Florence 1879 - 1956).
Son of the famous Lucca artist Augusto Passaglia.
Author of "Benvenuto Cellini as a Child" and two doors of the facade of S. Maria del Fiore.
He inherited his love for the classical tradition from his father.
He was a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, and on February 10, 1921, he was admitted to the class of resident sculptors.
From 1913 to 1942 he exhibited at the regional art exhibitions of the national fascist union.
In 1922 he presented a bronze portrait at the Florentine Primavera.
In 1929 he exhibited at the III Marine Exhibition "Venere Adriatica".
Period: Art Deco
Dimension: high cm. 48 (excluding marble base).
