Oil painting on canvas, depicting: "Saint Peter, with book", workshop of Giovanni Francesco Barbieri (Centi 1591-1666), known as Guercino, due to a slight squint caused by a fright he had as a child; great painters were trained in his workshop, in whose paintings the hand of Guercino can be seen.
The frame is not contemporary with the painting, but from the 1800s.
