The Holy Family is presented here with Jesus already grown up, a child over whom the Holy Spirit descends from the open heavens, to remind us of his belonging to the Holy Trinity, while his earthly parents flank him in an attitude of inner reflection.
The painting is presented with its original 17th-century frame.
