Year: 1926 After World War I, Jacques Villon engraved a series of aquatints inspired by paintings by modern masters, such as Matisse, Picasso, Braque, Derain, Laurencin, Signac, Renoir, Cezanne, Vlaminck, Bonnard, Manet, Dufy, Luce, Modigiliani, Van Gogh, and others. This particular work was engraved and aquatinted on plate by Jacques Villon after the maquette specially prepared by Dufy, with Dufy's collaboration and supervision.
