Large polychrome and gilded wooden panel "Annunciation to Saint Joseph" - Early 17th century.
Stunning carved wooden panel depicting the Annunciation to Saint Joseph: Joseph, visited by a nocturnal angel who in a dream brings him a celestial message, the word of God: do not be afraid to take Mary with you, that which is generated in her is an event of the Spirit in harmony with the prophetic scriptures and your task, adopting him as your son, is to give him the name: Jesus, «God saves». Which he promptly did.
The polychrome bas-relief is slightly arched, the "frame" is richly decorated with gold leaf.
The state of conservation is good, considering the era.
It has worm holes, but the necessary treatment has been carried out.
Only a small wooden piece (curl) has been replaced in the left part (highlighted in the photo).
The gilding and polychromy are original, the panel is in first patina, it has not undergone any type of restoration.
The dimensions are important: height cm. 95, width cm. 53.5 and depth cm. 19.
Period: early 17th century.
