"Bacchus and Ariadne on the island of Naxos and a drunken Silenus in the background." Oil on canvas by an Emilian painter, from the 18th century, probably working in Rome, in fact the painting has many similarities with works of similar subject by Luigi Garzi (Rome 1638-1721), Giuseppe Bartolomeo Chiari (Rome 1654-1727), Odoardo Vicinelli (Rome 1684-1755).
The painting is in excellent condition and is inserted in an 18th century golden frame. Canvas measures 86x70 cm, with frame 106x87 cm.
