A great display of skill and refined technique expressed by Maestro Tosi in the creation of this magnificent vase.
Within it, we find the mystery of Venetian masks with a tribute to the most typical ones. In particular, the black one with the slightly long nose recalls the mask of Pantalone, while the red one with the "big nose" represents "The Apothecary." And then the triumph of Carnival with the throwing of streamers that sway, rise towards the sky, and fall back on us joyfully!
A page of glass art that tells, through the masks of Carnival, the history of Venice.
(The Venetian mask's attire was completed with the "tabarro," a long black cloak, and on the head, the black "tricorno" hat).

The techniques used to create this magnificent vase are: submersion, incalmo, and fusion bubbles.
Submersion: the glass consists of an outer layer of varying thickness superimposed on a layer of a different color; therefore, the vase consists of layers of different thicknesses and colors, creating surprising chromatic effects.
Incalmo: it is a technique that consists of perfectly matching two or more elements of different colors while hot to obtain the desired shape by modeling them together, which requires great skill on the part of the master.
