H. Thoring (pseudonym of Kai Drews) was a Danish painter educated at the Technical School of Art and other private art schools. He participated in numerous exhibitions in Scandinavia and Europe. Kai Drews was first and foremost a landscape painter, known for his romantic and traditional landscapes of Zealand and Dyrehaven in Denmark. Drews drew much inspiration from the Danish master painter Peter Monsted.
