Pair of small oils on panel depicting one, Saint Joseph with the child. The other a joyful representation of baby Jesus playing with Saint John the Baptist as a child.
The talented painter who executed them shows compositional affinities, especially in the chromatic choice, with the works of the Neapolitan master Francesco De Mura (1696-1782 Naples). They could, in fact, come from his workshop or that of another painter active in the mid-18th century in the city of Naples.
The paintings are in very good condition and could receive a small cleaning intervention, aimed at highlighting the original colors and the luminous values, especially of the elements placed at the base of the scenes, such as attributes and delightful flowers placed as small still lifes.
The measurements of the panels are: 22cm x 26cm, to which must be added those of the non-contemporary frames.
