Oil and vinegar set in cast, embossed, and chiselled silver, with non-coeval cut crystal ampoules. Paris, goldsmith "S.J. Dupezard," first quarter of the 19th century. An elegant model with a main plinth body supported by four feral paws positioned at the corners, four circular compartments, the two larger ones holding ampoules, each consisting of three musical putti with a herm body. The central section features an applied neoclassical dolphin, a connecting band adorned with anthemions and a pair of masks depicting the Greek god Dionysus, an elevated column with a three-quarter sphere summit culminating in a figure of a boy dressed in ancient attire, holding the handle for grip. The decorative apparatus is completed by foliate frets, beading, and floral applications placed on the two long sides of the base plinth. An engraved monogram; bears the goldsmith's, title, city guarantee, and an unofficial punch used by the Association des Orfévres hallmarks. 756 grams.
