Antique Persian "cicim" in wool, woven on a loom and all hand embroidered. It was woven by nomadic girls for their own wedding trousseau.
Not being able to have a fixed loom because they lived in tents and migrated often, they wove these wool panels on small, easily transportable looms and dyed the wools with botanical substances and with the natural wool of sheep.
Can be used on the wall as a tapestry or on the bed (it is perfectly washed). cm. 157 x 155.
