Elegant Trumeau or double-bodied furniture, made in Piedmont in the 18th century.
This piece of furniture in solid walnut wood, with a blonde color, has a double-bodied structure. The upper part ends with a slightly moved cornice sculpted with a double frame. It consists of two large doors decorated with fine inlays that create frames and geometric elements. Inside, a large compartment is divided by three shelves. The lower part has a drop-leaf, which when opened, rests on sliding wooden elements. Inside there are 5 drawers and a small open compartment. Below, the furniture is equipped with three large drawers. The underlying band, with a moving line on three sides, connects the feet, which are also sculpted with a slight movement at the front.
The handles, knobs and locks are in gilded and chiseled bronze.
The furniture has a balanced and elegant line characteristic of the mid-eighteenth century. The color of the blonde walnut makes it refined in any environment, capable of adapting alongside antique and modern furnishings, easily placed in an entrance or in a study, but also in a living room or bedroom.
