1930s Bokhara, ultrafine with natural dyes and delicate abrash, with 10,000 knots per square decimeter, dated and signed.  Translated
Description:
Ultrafine Bokhara with natural dyes and delicate abrash, with 10,000 knots per square decimeter, dated and signed. Very fine work from the 1930s. In perfect condition, including pile and ends, free of restorations. Dimensions: 180x129 cm. Intact. Not restored. Bukhara or Bokhara rugs are produced by the Turkoman peoples. The Turkoman peoples are among the oldest dedicated to the art of carpet knotting. Their tribal groups and subgroups are spread across a vast territory ranging from Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan, from Afghanistan to Iran. Their rugs, produced in an infinite range of designs and qualities, are easily recognizable for their geometric layout, the color almost always in shades of red as a background, and the exclusive use of wool.  Translated
