Important Sorrento coffee table, attributed to Domenico Gargiulo, made of rosewood, walnut, olive wood burl and other woods, the top richly inlaid with volutes and shaped reserves with medallions executed in geometric and floral decoration, and inside with classical scenes, shaped and inlaid band with the same technique, modeled central support, resting on four legs depicting winged bats, carved in the round in ebonized wood. Sorrento circa 1880.
