Zatta Antonio Calabria Ulteriore Venice 1783. Geographical map taken from the publisher Antonio Zatta's work, Atlante novissimo, illustrated and expanded upon the observations and discoveries made by the most celebrated and most recent geographers. Published in Venice between 1775 and 1785, etched in aquatint and burin. The plates were mainly designed by Giovanni Pitteri and engraved by Giuliano Zuliani with beautiful original coloring. Within the cartouche composed of a landscape with vegetation and ruins, the inscription reads Calabria Ulteriore taken from the maps of Sig.r Rizzi Zannoni Venice 1783 by Antonio Zatta with the Privilege of the Ecc.mo Senato. The map clearly marks the inhabited areas and the waterways. The sheet has a vertical fold and is in good condition and is provided within a modern frame.
