Pair of gilded bronze sconces with Chinese figures, France XIX century Measurements: H max cm 48 x W cm 38 Price between 3,500.00 / 4,500.00 euros Object accompanied by a certificate of authenticity This charming pair of sconces was made in the 19th century in France, in gilded and chiseled bronze, in the Louis XV style. The two specular and similar sconces are composed of a central and vertical part in chiseled bronze with rocaille motifs and ending with the figure of a Chinese from which some leafy elements emerge. In one sconce the Chinese figure is female, in the other male. From the bust of the Chinese depart two large asymmetrical arms, in gilded bronze, with rocaille volutes and bobeches with phytomorphic elements. Very decorative and unusual, they can be combined with antique furnishings as well as in modern contexts.
