Buzio Pacifico (Pavia 1843 - Pavia 1902), The Geniuses of the Three Arts SOLD  Translated
Description:
Buzio Pacifico (Pavia 1843 - Pavia 1902) The Three Geniuses Oil on canvas cm 70 x 100 approx. Trained between 1856 and 1868 with G. Trécourt at the Civic School of Painting in Pavia, where he obtained several awards, including the Frank prize in 1864 with Imelda dei Lambertazzi next to the corpse of her lover (Pavia, Civic Museum). Faithful to a prudent compositional rigor of academic origin, Buzio was however a gifted colorist, renewing in this sense the rendering of historical and genre subjects, to which he added the activity of portrait painter. - Istituto Matteucci, dictionary of artists, Buzio Pacifico Buzio Pacifico (Pavia 1843 - Pavia 1902) The Three Geniuses Oil on canvas cm 70 x 100 approx.
