Biography: Born in Madrid between the 19th and 20th centuries. He was a student of Carlos de Haes at the San Fernando Academy of Fine Arts in Madrid. He debuted in group exhibitions and competitions in 1871, distinguishing himself from other artists. In 1873 he participated in the National Exhibition of Fine Arts, obtaining a bronze medal thanks to his works. He exhibited at the Salon de la Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris and also received an honorable mention in 1889 at the Universal Exposition. He was a member of the Society of Watercolorists of Madrid and the Circle of Fine Arts. He painted a wide variety of subjects, including animated landscapes, suggesting the influence of Turner, seeking golden effects of the sun through the fog or the bluish effects of the mist on rivers.
