Long ago, a Fairy cast an extraordinary spell, transforming her castle into a clock and giving it to her beloved. Since then, the clock has been passed down through generations, forever remembering their great Love.
This pendulum clock is meant to represent a fortress-castle of typical French Gothic style. Its structure features armed figures on the front, protecting the ancient door. The well-defined stones give a sense of strength and robustness to the structure itself. The roof with slate slabs is surmounted by four towers defending the structure. The most incredible thing is the four dragons placed on the clock's crest "spitting fire and flames" like belligerent cannons. Due to its composition, shapes, structure, and proportions, one might think of a design by the great French architect Viollet le Duc (1814 -1879), the one who restored Carcassonne. An incredible work of great charm, entirely in bronze (gilt). Paris-type mechanism with recoil anchor escapement with long pendulum. Strikes the hours and half-hours on a bell. Perfectly working.
