Description:
Large and antique hand-ground table mirror, rectangular in shape (cm.29; h.44) placed inside a frame made of 925 silver: surmounted by an empty cartouche for the insertion of a monogram, it is made embossed and openwork with floral and foliate decorations on a velvet body, original of the period. In fact, on the back it still has its original structure covered in blue velvet (photo n°10). Made by the silversmiths W.J. Myatt & Co. (W.J.M. & Co.), operating in Birmingham from 1902 to 1946, it is hallmarked with the anchor, the lion and the date letter F (photo n°9) which dates it exactly 1905. The antique 925 silver mirror, original in every part, is in good condition.
