Elegant and delightful active carbon water filter made during the Victorian period with the Doulton mark on the bottom: the Royal Doulton factory was founded in 1815 in Lambeth, south of London, by John Doulton (1793-1873). In brown stoneware decorated around with applied floral designs in green, beige, and white and five medallions (silhouettes). Around 1870 active carbon filters were used as a precaution by bourgeois families due to bacterial diseases such as cholera and typhoid. Good condition: the bucket, which is inside, has been restored on the edge in a non-visible way (photo no. 9): if you are interested, you can see it in detail via video on WhatsApp. Measurements: cm.
