Old Moroccan rug from a private collection: simple asymmetrical black design on a white wool background. It is an AZILAL - AIT BOUGEMMAZ and is part of my collection, already described in other Moroccan rugs published on the site.
This dates back to the 1930s-40s, but lately, production has started on a large scale at the request of overseas decorators who have them woven in large sizes for American homes.
This measures cm. 200 x 132.
