Painting depicting a shepherd boy seated on the grass, in the shade of a majestic tree, intent on playing a flute while a small flock of goats grazes peacefully on the banks of a stream. The painting, of fantasy, is certainly inspired by more important works of the 18th century, where representations of daily peasant life were depicted in an idyllic world devoid of hardship and poverty, far from what it really was, but almost envied by the wealthy classes for the simplicity of the life itself that stemmed from it. The work, of rather naive hand, still conveys what we have mentioned above.
