Giovanni Bruzzi (Florence 1936) - Vanitas Acylic painting on canvas: dimensions 50 x 70cm with frame 65 x 85cm Work signed on the upper right Giovanni Bruzzi (Florence 1936), great-grandson of the painter Stefano Bruzzi (Piacenza 1835-1911), began painting at a very young age in the studio of Rodolfo Margheri, then his professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence. In 1954 and 1956 he went to Paris for a study trip and returned there to live from 1960 to 1964. His presence on the art scene has been intense: he has held more than 100 solo exhibitions in Paris, in important cities in the United States and in the main Italian cities Milan (4), Rome (7), Florence (23), Bologna, Verona (2), Modena, Pescara (2), Ancona (2), Prato (5), Forte dei Marmi (2), Campobasso, Lucca (2), Urbino, Orvieto, Teramo, Rieti, Pistoia, Città di Castello (2), Massa Marittima, Sesto Fiorentino (3), L'Aquila, Arezzo (2), Ravenna, Grosseto (2), Civitavecchia, Montecatini Terme (2) etc. in important art galleries and has also presented himself in cultural centers and public venues. He participated by invitation in many national and international exhibitions and awards (XXI International Biennial Fiorino Award, Florence 1973.
